Coordinating Harm and Promoting Crime

Rationale

At Nevix, we deeply value the safety and well-being of our community members. We understand that the digital world is a powerful tool that can be used to mobilize individuals both for good and, unfortunately, for harm. To this end, we are committed to preventing the organization, facilitation, promotion or admittance to harmful or criminal activities aimed at people, businesses, property or animals. We allow robust discussion and advocacy for changes in law, drawing attention to harmful or criminal activities witnessed or experienced, provided these discussions do not endorse or facilitate harm.

Prohibited Content

Harm against People

• We do not allow content that outs or exposes the identity or locations related to anyone alleged to be part of an at-risk group or their affiliates. This includes those who share familial or romantic relationships with the members of such groups or have performed professional activities supporting them (except political figures).
• Content exposing the undercover status of law enforcement, military, or security personnel is prohibited if it explicitly identifies them and reveals their covert status.
• Any representation, support, advocacy or admission to swatting activities or high-risk viral challenges is strictly prohibited.

Harm against Animals

• Coordinating or depicting acts of physical harm against animals (committed by you or your associates) is prohibited, except in the following contexts: redemption, hunting or fishing, religious sacrifice, food preparation or processing, controlling pests or vermin, mercy killing, self-defense or defense of another human or animal, and bullfighting.
• Coordinating, depicting or promoting staged animal fights or fake animal rescues are not allowed.

Harm against Property

• Expressions of intent, calls to action, or any form of support for harm against property such as vandalism, cybercrimes including hacking and theft (committed by you or your associates) is prohibited. Positive statements about theft when committed by a third party are not allowed.
• Any content offering to buy or sell votes with cash or gifts, advocating for, providing instructions, or showing explicit intent to illegally participate in a voting or census process are strictly disallowed.

Content Requiring Additional Context

Certain content may require additional information and/or context to enforce. For such content, we may either add a label indicating that the content might be sensitive or ask for additional context.

We do not allow posts that:

• Reveal non-convicted individuals as targets of a sting operation as a sexual predator.
• Expose someone's identity as a witness, informant, activist or involved in a legal case where their identity has been restricted from public disclosure.
• Put defectors at risk by revealing personal information reported through credible government channels.
• Are likely to deceive the public about their origin, have potential to harm the public, and are objected by the entity depicted or an authorized representative.
• Advocate for coordinated interference that could impact an individual's participation in an official census or election.
• Reveal the identity or location of a Prisoner of War in an armed conflict.
• Include statements of intent, support, or advocacy to monitor or intimidate voters or election officials at a voting site, election site or vote counting location.
