Inauthentic Behavior

Last Updated: August 1, 2023

Rationale

At Nevix, we believe in the power of authenticity and trust. These principles are the bedrock of our community, ensuring that users can connect, communicate, and collaborate with certainty and security. We're dedicated to maintaining a platform that is free from misrepresentation and encourages genuine interaction.

The misuse of our services to mislead or disrupt the community, either through creating fake accounts, misrepresenting identity, or artificially increasing the popularity of content, contradicts our community values. The Inauthentic Behavior policy is intended to protect user security, safeguard our services, and uphold the trustworthiness of interactions on our platform.

Prohibited Actions

To maintain the integrity of our platform, we prohibit the following actions:

  1. Use of Multiple Nevix Accounts: Users are not allowed to operate multiple Nevix accounts or share accounts among several individuals. Each account should be tied to a single user.

  2. Misuse of Reporting Systems: Any misuse of the Nevix or any associated platforms' reporting systems to harass or cause distress to other users is prohibited.

  3. Misleading Page Representation: Concealing a Page’s purpose by misleading users about the ownership, control, or objectives of that Page is disallowed. Pages should clearly convey their intent and origin.

  4. Inauthentic Behavior: Users are forbidden from engaging in or claiming to engage in behavior that misleads people or Nevix about:

    • The identity, purpose, or origin of the entity they represent.
    • The popularity of Nevix content or assets.
    • The purpose of an audience or community.
    • The source or origin of content.
    • Any attempt to evade enforcement under our Community Guidelines.

Actions Requiring Additional Context Certain actions require additional information and/or context to enforce our Community Guidelines:

  1. Coordinated Inauthentic Behavior: Entities are not allowed to engage in, or claim to engage in, coordinated inauthentic behavior. This refers to the use of multiple Nevix assets in concert to engage in inauthentic behavior, where the use of fake accounts is a central component.

  2. Foreign or Government Interference: Entities are forbidden from engaging in or claiming to engage in foreign or government interference. This is defined as coordinated inauthentic behavior conducted on behalf of a foreign or government actor.

  3. Use of Official Channels to Deny Violations: Governments that have instituted sustained blocks of social media cannot use their official departments, agencies, and embassies to deny the use of force or violent events in the context of an attack against the territorial integrity of another state, which is in violation of Article 2(4) of the UN charter.

Enforcement

Violation of these policies may result in a range of enforcement actions, including but not limited to warning notifications, temporary or permanent suspension of accounts, or legal action where necessary.

By adhering to these guidelines, all users can contribute to a safe and authentic community, ensuring Nevix remains a platform for genuine engagement and interaction.
