Spam

Rationale

Nevix is committed to fostering a positive and authentic online community, free from spam and deceptive practices. We recognize that spam disrupts the user experience, hinders authentic interaction, and potentially compromises the security, stability, and usability of our services. Our spam policy is designed to prevent such disruptions and to prohibit misuse of our platform for spam or related purposes. We stand firmly against the artificial inflation of viewership and the mass distribution of content for commercial gain.

Prohibited Actions

1. Excessive Posting: Users should not create accounts, groups, pages, events or other assets, either manually or automatically, at very high frequencies. This includes the posting, sharing, or engaging with content at a pace that disrupts the user experience or can be classified as spam.

2. Misuse of Nevix Features: Selling, buying or exchanging site privileges, engagement, or product features like accounts, admin roles, permission to post, pages, groups, likes, etc., is strictly prohibited, except for clearly identified branded content as defined by our Branded Content Policies.

3. Forcing Engagement: Users should not require or imply that other users must engage with content (e.g., liking, sharing) before they can access or interact with the promised content.

4. False Pretenses: Encouraging likes, shares, follows, clicks or the use of apps or websites under false pretenses is not allowed. This includes offering non-existent services or functionality, failing to direct users to promised content, and using false play buttons.

5. Deceptive URL Use: Users should not engage in deceptive or misleading use of URLs. This includes:

  • Cloaking: Presenting different content to Nevix users and Nevix crawlers or tools.
  • Misleading content: Content that contains a link that promises one type of content but delivers something substantially different.
  • Deceptive redirect behavior: Websites that require an action (e.g., captcha, watch ad, click here) in order to view the expected landing page content and the domain name of the URL changes after the required action is complete.
  • Like/share-gating: Landing pages that require users to like, share, or otherwise engage with content before gaining access to content.
  • Deceptive landing page functionality: Websites that have a misleading user interface, resulting in accidental traffic being generated (e.g., pop-ups/unders, clickjacking, etc.).
  • Typosquatting: An external website that pretends to be a reputable brand or service by using a name, domain, or content that features typos, misspellings, or other means to impersonate well-known brands.

6. Similar Behaviors: Any other behaviors that are substantially similar to the above are also prohibited.

Actions Requiring Additional Context

While Nevix is committed to the eradication of spam, there are some actions that may require additional context to determine if they violate our Spam Policy. For example:

  • High-Frequency Posting: While we prohibit posting at very high frequencies, we understand that some events or circumstances might require increased activity. In such cases, the user should provide sufficient context to justify the increased frequency.
