Cybersecurity

Rationale

At Nevix, we are committed to providing a safe, secure, and trustworthy platform for all our users. This involves ensuring the security of personal information, accounts, profiles, and other Nevix-related entities. Unauthorized attempts to gather sensitive user information or to gain unauthorized access to accounts by deceptive or invasive methods threaten the authentic, open, and secure environment we strive to foster. To protect our community and ensure the integrity of our platform, we strictly prohibit any such attempts to compromise user security or privacy.

Prohibited Actions

The following actions are strictly prohibited on the Nevix platform:

  1. Unauthorized Access: Users should not attempt to gain access to accounts, profiles, Nevix entities, or user data other than their own through deceptive methods or without explicit permission from the account, profile, or entity owner.

  2. Malicious Programs or Files: Users should not encourage or deceive other users to download or run files or programs that will compromise their online or data security, including through malicious software or websites.

  3. Phishing or Deceptive Practices: Users must not attempt to obtain, acquire, or request another user’s login credentials, personal information or other sensitive data through deceptive means. This includes, but is not limited to, phishing techniques like creating fake surveys to capture log-in info or links to fake login pages or impostor websites.

  4. Sharing Login Information: Users should not publicly share their own or others' login information, either on the Nevix platform or through a third-party service. This is considered a breach of privacy and security.

  5. Malicious Software Creation or Distribution: Users should not create, share, or host malicious software, including browser extensions and mobile applications, on or off the Nevix platform that put our users or our products and services at risk.

  6. Abusive Online Infrastructure: Users should not provide online infrastructure, such as web hosting services, domain name system servers, and ad networks, that enable the sharing of abusive links or content that violates Nevix’s spam or cybersecurity policies.

Actions Requiring Additional Context

While certain actions are broadly prohibited, we understand that context matters. Certain actions may be justified or acceptable depending on their context and intent. Nevix will consider additional context in the following scenarios:

  1. Research and Disclosure: Users who identify security vulnerabilities in our platform and wish to disclose them responsibly for the purpose of improving Nevix's security. In these cases, we ask that you reach out to us directly and provide us with the opportunity to respond before disclosing the information publicly.

  2. Educational Content: Sharing of cybersecurity-related information that is intended for educational purposes and does not encourage illegal activities.

In both cases, we encourage users to contact our support team to provide additional context before posting potentially sensitive information.

Enforcement

Violation of these guidelines can result in a range of consequences, including but not limited to account suspension or termination, and legal action. Our response will depend on the severity and nature of the violation. We reserve the right to make judgment calls about what constitutes a violation of these guidelines and to update these guidelines as necessary to ensure the safety and security of our users.

We urge all users to report any behavior they encounter that may be in violation of these guidelines. Your help is essential in maintaining the safety and security of the Nevix community.
